I was born and have lived my short 31 years here in Carter county. I am a 2013 graduate of Elizabethton High and I have my Bachelors from Carson Newman University. I treasure our beautiful Appalachian Mountains where we live and the tremendous resilience of our Appalachian community. My parents gave me an adventurous childhood of camping and canoe trips. I was raised in the Elizabethton First Presbyterian Church where I participated in the youth group. I’m so grateful for those experiences, many years we participated in the Appalachian Service Project serving communities so much like ours. I love being able to spend time hiking in our forest and swimming in our clean Watauga lake, as I know so many others do too. I believe that the purpose of government is to survive its people not as a means of wealth extraction for those in the government.

People over profit!
Clean water! Clean air!
